Of the more than 2.6 million voters eligible to vote this year, 53% are women, while 47% are men. Data from the Superior Electoral Court also shows that 743 people are registered using their social name in the state. TSE data show that the Rio Grande do Sul electorate is predominantly single. Around 64% of voters declared this marital status. Married people represent 30% of the electoral register, while divorced (3%), widowed (2%) and legally separated (1%) complete the profile of voters in the state. Completed secondary education leads education Completed secondary education is the most frequent level of education among voters in Rio Grande do Norte. In total, 655,556 people (24.64%) declared having completed this teaching stage. Next come voters with incomplete primary education, who total 644,214 people (24.21%), and those with incomplete secondary education, who represent 18.52% of the electorate. The state also has 236,577 voters with completed higher education and 151,689 illiterate voters, equivalent to 5.7% of the total. The 40-year-old group concentrates the largest number of voters The Rio Grande do Norte electorate is made up mostly of adults. The group between 40 and 44 years old concentrates the largest number of people eligible to vote in this year's elections: there are 272,476 voters, equivalent to 10.24% of the total. Next appear the 35 to 39 year old age groups, with 266,182 voters; 30 to 34 years old, with 262,812; 25 to 29 years old, with 252,782; and 45 to 49 years old, with 248,795. Among younger people, voting remains optional for teenagers aged 16 and 17. In Rio Grande do Norte, this group brings together 37,243 voters — 14,621 aged 16 and 22,622 aged 17 — equivalent to around 1.4% of the state electorate. At the other end of the age pyramid, the state registers 1,484 voters aged 100 or over eligible to vote in the October elections. Racial profile Among voters who reported race or color to the TSE, the majority declared themselves mixed race, followed by those who identify themselves as white.
