The North region recorded the biggest increase, with an increase of 1.0% in the month. Next, the Central-West (0.8%), South (0.4%) and Southeast (0.1%) regions appear. On the other hand, there was a drop in the Northeast, of 0.6%.
Among the 14 states monitored by the BC, nine recorded increases in the period. The biggest growth was recorded in Espírito Santo (4.4%), followed by Goiás (1.1%), Ceará (1.0%), Paraná (0.9%), Santa Catarina (0.8%), Minas Gerais (0.5%), Pernambuco (0.5%), Amazonas (0.1%) and Pará (0.1%).
On the other hand, there was a drop in Mato Grosso (-0.3%), São Paulo (-0.2%), Bahia (-0.2%), Rio de Janeiro (-0.1%) and Rio Grande do Sul (-0.1%)
Interannual
Compared to May 2025, in observed data, activity grew in four of the five regions of Brazil, with emphasis on the Central-West (2.4%). There was also an increase in the Southeast (1.2%), South (1.2%) and Northeast (0.7%). The North remained stable (0.0%) in the period.
In the year to date, activity has grown in all regions, with emphasis on the Northeast (2.7%). The increase is also widespread in 12 months, with more significant growth in the Central-West (3.1%), followed by the Northeast (2.7%), North (2.3%), South (2.2%) and Southeast (1.6%).
