Open to the public, the meeting will bring together representatives of the Amazon Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN Amazônia), researchers, leaders, partner organizations and others interested in the climate agenda. The main guest will be diplomat Marco Túlio Scarpelli, a specialist in international negotiations on climate, forests and sustainable development. With a career dedicated to climate diplomacy and international cooperation, Marco Túlio is active in the Brazilian environmental agenda and in discussions related to COP30. The debate will also feature the participation of Henrique Pereira, director of the National Institute for Amazon Research (Inpa) and researcher in the areas of biodiversity and sustainable development; and Sinéia do Vale, coordinator of the Indigenous Climate Change Committee (CIMC) and COP30 envoy. The moderation will be carried out by the general superintendent of FAS, Virgilio Viana. Among the topics that will be covered are strategies to achieve zero deforestation in the Amazon; the contribution of indigenous peoples and traditional populations to forest conservation; public policies and climate finance; bioeconomy; sustainable development; and the challenges and opportunities of the Brazilian climate agenda. The meeting also seeks to strengthen the dialogue of the SDSN Amazônia Network and bring experiences developed in the territories closer to national and international debates on climate change, environmental conservation and sustainable development.
