Man is arrested after threatening ex-partner and violating protective measure in João Pessoa Reproduction/Civil Police A 44-year-old man was arrested this Tuesday morning (21), in João Pessoa, suspected of pouring gasoline on the door of his ex-girlfriend's house to intimidate her, in addition to threatening her and failing to comply with an urgent protective measure issued by the Court. ? Click here to follow the g1 PB channel on WhatsApp According to the Civil Police, the suspect continued to threaten the victim even after being banned by the Court from approaching or maintaining any type of contact with her. During the investigations, the police identified that, in one of the episodes of intimidation, he threw gasoline at the door of the woman's residence. Given the seriousness of the facts and the risk to the victim's integrity, the Civil Police represented the preventive arrest of the person being investigated. The request was accepted by the Court, and the warrant was fulfilled this Tuesday. After his arrest, the man was taken to the Civil Police prison, where he remains at the disposal of the Justice Department. He must undergo a custody hearing, when a judge will decide whether the arrest will be maintained during the process.
