Police arrest suspects in Bahia of killing a couple of women in Praia Grande

The two had a warrant for their arrest and were considered fugitives from justice. They were located on Tuesday (28) in the rural area of ??Cabaceiras do Paraguaçu, in Recôncavo Baiano.

The names of those arrested were not released.

According to the Civil Police of Bahia, the two must be taken to a penitentiary in São Paulo.

The arrest was made by agents from Deic (Specialized Department of Criminal Investigations), with the support of the Feira de Santana Theft and Robbery Repression Police Station.

According to the SSP, the case remains under investigation, under secrecy, by the DIG (General Investigations Department) of Praia Grande.

THE CRIME

Ieda Aparecida Simplício, 62, and Fabiana de Fátima Nogueira, 47, disappeared in Praia Grande, on the 9th. The bodies were found buried in a forested area in São Vicente, in Baixada Santista, on the 18th. The two were in a relationship.

The bodies were in the Samaritá neighborhood, and were recognized by relatives, according to the SSP (Public Security Secretariat), after the Military Police were called to find a body. In the same ditch there was a skull.

Civil police officers from the DIG (Praia Grande General Investigations Station), along with a team from the Fire Department, also attended the scene. Expert and necroscopic examinations were requested for the victims. The case was registered as a homicide and suspicious death.

According to G1, the women disappeared on the night of the 9th, after a meeting with a friend and a family member. They reportedly said they needed to resolve some things, without giving details, and never came back.

Their car, according to the news portal, was found abandoned and open next to the CDP (Provisional Detention Center) in Praia Grande, two days after their disappearance.
