Chinese agricultural machinery manufacturer FM World took another step in negotiations to expand its presence in Brazil. On Friday (07/03), company representatives participated, in the PZ Empreendimentos auditorium, in another meeting with businesspeople, investors and representatives of Sinop City Hall to discuss investment opportunities in the municipality and strengthen the company's relationship with Mato Grosso.

The meeting was attended by vice-mayor Paulinho de Abreu, the secretary and director of industry and commerce of the Economic Development department of Sinop, José Pedro Serafini and Guilherme Campanhoni – respectively, the economist Feliciano Azuaga, the representatives of FM World in Brazil, Gustavo Juliano Kiguti and Altieres Antônio, as well as the director of PZ Empreendimentos, Almir Salvadori and, d
According to the lawyer and administrator of FM World in Brazil, Altieres Antônio, the meeting marked a new stage in the Chinese company's rapprochement with the Brazilian market. The company is preparing the opening of the brand's first dealership in the country, which will be installed in Sinop, and has started the first conversations about possible industrial investment in the region.
"The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen FM World China's relationship with Brazil. We are opening the first FM store in Brazil, which will be in Sinop, expected to open between August and September. We also started a debate on the idea of bringing a manufacturing plant to manufacture agricultural machinery in Sinop. It was an initial conversation and we will certainly have other meetings to continue this alignment", he stated.
The director of PZ Empreendimentos, Almir Salvadori, reinforced that the possibility of establishing a factory is still in the negotiation phase and that no decision has been taken by the company.
"We are evolving in conversations towards the possibility of bringing an industry to Sinop. There is nothing agreed and this needs to be very clear. The important thing is that Sinop has become part of the company's discussions for future investments."
According to Salvadori, FM World was initially considering installing an industrial unit in the State of São Paulo. The agricultural potential of the North of Mato Grosso, especially in the cotton production chain, led the company to consider Sinop among the alternatives.
"The company's flagship product is cotton harvesting machines. When they learned more about the productive potential of Sinop, Sorriso and the entire region, they began to evaluate Mato Grosso as a possibility."
The meeting also reinforced the role that PZ Empreendimentos has been playing in bringing international investors closer to Sinop's economic potential. Recently, the company also received a mission from Japanese businesspeople interested in learning about projects aimed at industrialization, logistics and expansion of agribusiness in the region.
For Salvadori, the interest shown by foreign groups confirms that Sinop has been consolidating itself as a favorable environment for new investments, driven by the strength of agribusiness, its strategic location on the banks of BR-163 and the advancement of agro-industrialization in the North of Mato Grosso.
