Triggered after crisis with Michelle, Flávio Bolsonaro's wife was denounced in the 'rachadinha' case

Fernanda received a deposit from Fabrício Queiroz, appointed as the scheme's financial operator, days before paying the down payment on an apartment acquired by the couple in 2011. There are also reports of other fractional deposits, as well as involvement in the opening of the chocolate store maintained by the senator.

The accusation was archived due to the annulment of the evidence by the STJ (Superior Court of Justice) and STF (Supreme Federal Court).

In a statement, Flávio's campaign advisor stated that it was "essential to make it clear that the allegations are unfounded, so much so that they were not accepted by the courts due to a complete lack of proof of the facts."

"Decisions by the STJ and the STF invalidated all the evidence in the investigation. As an obvious consequence, the case was archived. The Folha report has no journalistic basis, being distorted only to affect the reputation of Fernanda, wife of the senator and pre-candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, Flávio Bolsonaro. Both have an unblemished reputation, have a clean record, fight and believe that another Brazil is possible. Unlike Lula, convicted twice in the second instance and arrested for the crimes of passive corruption and laundering of money, and who became a president symbol of regression."

Fernanda Bolsonaro is being prepared to participate more actively in her husband's campaign to reduce resistance among female voters. The action was already in the senator's team's plans, but it gained urgency after the public fight with Michelle. The PL candidate tries to reverse the rejection among female voters.

At the PL convention, held in São Paulo last Saturday (25), the wife stood out on stage and stood by her husband's side throughout the event. “You are my backbone,” said the presidential candidate.

According to the Public Ministry, Fernanda also participated in her husband's "rachadinhas" scheme in his former office at Alerj (Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro).

She was in every real estate transaction with her husband starting in 2010, when the two got married. According to the MP-RJ, the senator laundered R$638,000 from the scheme through the purchase and sale of apartments in Rio de Janeiro, with the dentist as co-owner.

The Prosecutor's Office pointed out the use of Fernanda's bank account in some of these negotiations.

In 2011, Queiroz deposited R$25,000 in cash into the dentist's bank account. The contribution, together with others made in the same period, supported the payment days after the first installment of the couple's purchase of a penthouse in Laranjeiras, south of Rio de Janeiro.

In December of the same year, a new deposit of R$20,000 in cash fell into Fernanda's account. The breach of banking secrecy identified the dentist herself as responsible for the contribution. However, the Public Ministry claims that the money originated from Miguel Grillo, Flávio's chief of staff at Alerj.

The conclusion is due to the fact that, minutes before entering Fernanda's account, there was a withdrawal of the same amount from Miguel's account. The two operations (withdrawal and cash deposit) were carried out in branches in Ipanema 400 meters apart, within 30 minutes.

The complaint states that, after noticing the identification of deposits in the accounts, those involved in the scheme began trying to circumvent tracking the origin of the amounts. To do this, they made fractional contributions of up to R$5,000, an amount that did not require identification from the depositor.

In 2014, the couple purchased an apartment in Barra da Tijuca. The dentist's account received R$20,000 in fractional deposits before paying the first installment of R$50,000 for the property. There were three deposits of R$5,000 and two of R$3,000 and R$2,000 each. Days later, the first installment was disbursed.

The MP-RJ also pointed out that the transfer of R$350,000 came from Fernanda's bank account for the purchase of the chocolate store managed by Flávio from 2015 onwards. It was also in the dentist's name that R$200,000 was paid in to make up the company's share capital.

"Despite not appearing in the contracts, Flávio Bolsonaro's wife not only shouldered her husband's debts, but also paid in partner Alexandre Santini's share of the company's capital, being the only person to contribute her own resources to form the company's working capital, without there being an apparent justification and without any record of these donations in the income statements of those involved", stated the MP-RJ.

The transaction involving the chocolate store, however, was not the subject of the complaint presented to the Rio de Janeiro Court and later archived. It was exposed in the search and seizure request carried out in December 2019, still during the investigation of the case.

Like Fernanda, Michelle was also mentioned in the case of Flávio's "rachadinhas". The former first lady was not reported, but the breach of banking secrecy by Queiroz and his wife indicated the deposit of R$89,000 in checks into her account. Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) states that the payment refers to the repayment of a loan.

The report sent questions about each of the MP-RJ's accusations, but the campaign's advisors did not explain the transactions involving Fernanda's accounts.
