According to Santos' number 10, football is one of the most exposed and attacked areas in Brazil, which requires more responsibility in disseminating news.
"Because I think it's the biggest and best-known profession here in Brazil, which is the most attacked. So, I think you have to be a little more careful with your words, with the news you release. Most of them are not true and this ends up hurting the people around you, your fans, your own work", he stated.
Afterwards, Neymar said that fake news could compromise the emotional balance of many players. The attacker assessed that he has strong psychology, but highlighted that not all athletes can deal with pressure in the same way.
"Because this will end up making a lot of players sick. I think the player's psychology is strong. Mine is very strong, by the way. But not everyone is like that", he declared.
The future of his career was also a topic in the interview. Neymar stated that he is not thinking about retiring at the moment, but avoided bringing forward a decision on what he will do after the end of his contract with Santos.
The contract with the club ends in December. Until then, the striker said he intends to fulfill the agreement and represent the team in the best way possible.
"I don't think about stopping and I don't even know how long I will. I have a contract with Santos until December. I intend to fulfill it, honor the Santos shirt in the best possible way. And then I will think, when the contract ends, if I continue at Santos, if I leave, if I go away, if I stop playing or if I continue", he said.
Neymar added that he has not yet defined the next steps and that he intends to assess the situation only at the end of the year. The player also stated that he was satisfied with his physical condition and was more comfortable on the field.
"There's still ground until December. So, we're going little by little, we're going game by game. I'm feeling good physically, increasingly comfortable on the field. And that's what matters", he added.
