The incident also left 40 people injured. According to information released by the local press, 21 people were taken to hospitals, while another 19 received medical care at the scene.
The circumstances of the explosion have not yet been clarified. Authorities are investigating whether the drone crashed directly onto the beach or whether debris reached the area after the equipment was intercepted by Russian air defense systems.
Before the explosion, witnesses reportedly heard automatic weapons fire. An analysis carried out by CNN Internacional indicated that the shots came from at least three different weapons.
The episode is considered one of the deadliest recorded in the region in recent weeks.
