Piovani mentioned that platforms such as Instagram, WhatsApp and Discord should cease to exist, as in many countries there are reports of the use of these networks for crimes. "I really can't wait for this to all end... Someone turns on the button... in this case, turns off the button... for someone to go there and press 'off' on Instagram, on all social networks, including WhatsApp", he began saying.
"I hate talking on the phone, I hate it! But I can't wait for it all to end and we have to call people again, we have to schedule personal meetings again and we end up not even knowing the people who are so far away", added the famous woman.
The actress also stated that the internet has become something macabre: "What I see is that the internet has become a cursed thing, a macabre thing. The number of people and animals that are dying due to the crazy things of unbalanced human beings", she said.
"I think people will still debate a lot [about this] because there are a lot of people making a lot of money, but I think that at some point someone will have to turn this shit off. I'll be happy," he said.
Piovani finished by saying that the internet emerged as a good thing, but ended up changing over the years. "[It has to] End Discord, Instagram, WhatsApp... At some point, someone will have to shut it down, because, once again, someone does a good thing and it turns into something macabre."
It is worth noting that many countries are modifying the laws on access to social networks to limit the use of platforms by children and adolescents who are vulnerable and are the main victims of crimes.
In Europe, France decided to ban social networks for children under 15 years of age. Children and young people are prohibited from accessing social networks, such as TikTok, Instagram and Discord.
In Brazil, President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva sanctioned the Digital Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA Digital) and signed regulatory decrees, imposing limits and protection rules for minors on social networks. The main measure requires that accounts be linked to guardians for children under 16 years of age.
