The Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso (ALMT) reached fifth place among the state parliaments with the highest number of interactions on social networks in the first half of 2026. During the period, the institutional profiles of the Mato Grosso House of Laws totaled 179,675 interactions.

The data was released by Social Media Gov, a platform specialized in communication intelligence for public institutions. The study monitors the digital presence of government bodies and compares the impact of publications on the main networks. Check out the full survey here.

For ALMT's Secretary of Social Communication, Colonel Henrique Santos, the position demonstrates that the institution has expanded contact with citizens through digital channels. "Being among the five public institutions with the greatest interaction on social media shows that the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso is increasingly connected with the population. This result is the result of transparent, accessible communication focused on showing, in a simple way, how the Parliament's work makes a difference in people's lives. Our commitment is to strengthen this dialogue and keep citizens always informed and participating in decisions that impact the state", he states.

In the national classification, ALMT was ahead of legislative assemblies such as those in Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Ceará and Amazonas. The placement highlights the advancement of institutional channels as spaces for disseminating parliamentary activities, services offered by the House and matters of interest to society.

Henrique Santos also highlights that the achievement results from the joint participation of professionals from the Social Communication Secretariat (Secom). "No result of this magnitude is built in isolation. This achievement reflects the talent, dedication and professionalism of the employees of the Secretariat of Communication. When there is trust, integration between sectors and commitment to the public interest, the results appear", he highlights.

The Assembly's Manager of Network Management and Institutional Advertising, Noemia Almeida, explains that the presence on digital platforms is built in an integrated manner by the areas of social networks and institutional advertising, journalism, photography, TV Assembly and Radio Assembly. The teams work to produce news, videos, campaigns, broadcasts and other formats that help make legislative topics more understandable and closer to the population's daily lives.

Noemia Almeida assesses that the position obtained nationally reflects the daily commitment of professionals and the cooperation between the different areas of Secom. "We received this recognition with great satisfaction, as it reflects the commitment of a team made up of just nine employees and a young apprentice, who work daily with creativity, dedication and a sense of purpose. Our work goes far beyond the management of social networks. We are also responsible for institutional advertising and various strategic communication actions. This result is only possible thanks to the integration with the other sectors of Secom, which work with us on each project, strengthening the Assembly's communication", he says.

Recognized innovation — ALMT's presence in the top five continues a series of achievements in the House's communication. In 2025, the institution received second place in the Social Media Gov Award, during the 14th Redes WeGov, with the virtual assistant “Alê”, created to facilitate access to legislative information through social networks.

This year, the Parliament of Mato Grosso won first place in the same award, held during the 15th WeGov Networks, with the “News Thermometer”. The project uses artificial intelligence, automation and data analysis to identify topics of interest to the public and improve the distribution of institutional content.

ALMT's Network Management and Institutional Advertising team also reached academia. The scientific article about the “News Thermometer”, prepared by Noemia Almeida, with review by servers William Monteiro and Yuri Daltro Caseiro, was approved for presentation at the Brazilian Congress of Public Communication.
