Among the fatal victims was "a woman who was walking in a park with children at the time of the attack."
"The children survived and are receiving the necessary assistance", informed the city's emergency services, also via Telegram.
Filatov further confirmed that the missiles hit residential buildings, vehicles and other civilian infrastructure. Odessa has been a frequent target of Russian attacks in recent days.
In the neighboring region of Mykolaiv, drones struck port infrastructure, killing two people and causing damage to three vessels, according to a regional official.
Another person died in a drone strike that also left five injured in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, regional governor Yaroslav Yanushevych said.
In Kharkiv, in the northeast of the country and Ukraine's second largest city, one person died and eight others were injured, including two children, in Russian artillery shelling, local authorities reported.
In Russia, emergency services reported that a Ukrainian drone killed a man in the Belgorod region, close to the border with northeastern Ukraine.
Another person died after a Ukrainian attack on Horlivka, a city located in eastern Ukraine and occupied by Russia, Mayor Ivan Prikhodko said.
In addition, two other people were killed in a Ukrainian drone attack on a road in the part of the Kherson region occupied by Russian forces, according to Moscow-installed governor Vladimir Vasilenko.
