The seven-time Super Bowl champion and the influencer, who also works as a WWE fighter, were talking on stage at the event when the relaxed atmosphere gave way to a moment of tension.
After an exchange of provocations, Brady slapped Paul in the face, surprising the audience present.
The situation was quickly resolved by Karl-Anthony Towns, American basketball star and current NBA champion with the New York Knicks, who intervened to separate the two. Despite the audience's immediate reaction, the episode had a staged tone and is part of a rivalry that has been building between them since the beginning of the year.
The exchange of barbs began in February, when Logan Paul stated that his WWE career required a level of physical preparation comparable to that of NFL athletes. The statement did not go unnoticed by Brady, who responded before a duel between the two at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, played in March.
"You can wear a helmet. That ball could slip out of my hand if you're not paying attention," the former quarterback teased. During the match, Brady fulfilled his promise and hit his rival with a shot, starting the sequence of public provocations.
After the slap at Fanatics Fest, both took to social media to keep the joke going. Logan Paul mocked the former player's attitude. "This happened because I was making fun of Tom for beating me at flag football. And he tries to slap me? Bad example for children," he wrote on X
Brady responded in the same tone: "I tried, America. I'll try again next time I see this nerd."
The episode also reinforces speculation about Brady's possible participation in WWE. In a recent interview with the podcast What Do You Wanna Talk About?, hosted by Cody Rhodes, the former quarterback revealed that he would like to appear in the organization.
"I need an invitation. I'm waiting for Nick Khan to create some story so I can join in the fun. I feel like I've retired from American football and now I have the opportunity to get in there and still show that I'm still a bit of an athlete," he said.
