"I don't trust the current head of the PF. I won't take the risk of him infiltrating people into my campaign," he wrote on his social media.
Flávio said that he will request that the agents be directed to investigations into fraud against retirees and pensioners of the National Social Security Institute (INSS) and again stated that there is a lack of investigations into Luís Cláudio Lula da Silva, known as Lulinha, son of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT).
"I ask that the PF employees who would be at my disposal be allocated, immediately, to the investigation of the theft from INSS retirees. If the official excuse of the head of the PF for not investigating Lulinha - accused of receiving a monthly payment from Careca from the INSS - was the lack of staff, I want to make my contribution so that the money stolen during the Lula government is returned to the retirees", he continued.
Flávio has already been accompanied by security guards and has worn a bulletproof vest in his public engagements.
Spending on candidates
On Monday, the 20th, the Federal Police begins an operation to protect candidates for the Presidency of the Republic in the 2026 elections. The structure will mobilize up to 458 employees and will have armored vehicles, anti-drone equipment and anti-bomb inspection kits, with an estimated budget of R$95 million.
Protection may begin after the approval of candidacies at party conventions and a formal request by the respective campaigns. The names that will actually compete for the Palácio do Planalto will only be approved after the party conventions that begin on July 20th, with the registration of candidacies continuing until August 15th.
The structure was designed to simultaneously serve up to ten candidacies, with specialized teams operating in all states and with permanent monitoring of campaign agendas. The corporation states that it will apply the same technical criteria to all applications, with personnel and resources defined individually according to the level of risk.
