Bolsonaro tells Moraes that he did not authorize the use of AI images at PL conventions

According to lawyers, the former president would not even have the means to give such authorization to his son and senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL).

"In fact, he could not even do so. As expressly determined by this Court in the decision of 07/17/2026, the Petitioner's right to visit is suspended for a period of 30 (thirty) days, while his son Flávio Nantes Bolsonaro remains prevented from visiting him for a period of 90 (ninety) days, a circumstance that, in itself, highlights the lack of any contact aimed at obtaining specific authorization for the preparation of said material."

The topic of Bolsonaro's video at the convention is also under analysis at the TSE. After drawing lots, the president of the court, Kassio Nunes Marques, became the rapporteur of the action, with him making the initial decision on the regularity of the conduct. The minister may automatically send the decision to the plenary for validation, or do so only if an appeal is filed.

Lawyers for Flávio Bolsonaro's campaign defended the use of the material to the electoral court on the grounds that the recording was not intended to deceive the public or spread false content.
