Detran-RN and Civil Police hold auction of seized vehicles Disclosure The Civil Police of Rio Grande do Norte, in partnership with the State Department of Traffic (Detran/RN), will hold next Friday (24), at 10am, an online auction with 54 seized and unclaimed vehicles. Initial bids vary between R$50 and R$55 thousand. The lots are made up of recoverable vehicles and usable scrap metal, seized by the Civil Police and subsequently sent to the Detran's accredited yard, in São Gonçalo do Amarante. ? Individuals over 18 years of age and regularly constituted legal entities may participate, in accordance with the rules set out in the notice. Lots classified as scrap may only be sold by dismantling companies accredited by transit agencies. Before the auction, interested parties will be able to visit the vehicles on July 22nd and 23rd, from 8am to 4pm, at the Detran's accredited yard, located at Avenida Ruy Pereira dos Santos, nº 2,565, in the Olho D'Água neighborhood, in São Gonçalo do Amarante. The inspection will be visual only, with no possibility of handling the vehicles or removing parts. The auction is part of the Pátio Livre Program, developed through a cooperation agreement between the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Norte (TJRN), the General Inspectorate of Justice, the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Norte (MPRN), the Civil Police and Detran/RN. The initiative seeks to speed up the disposal of seized and abandoned vehicles, as provided for in legislation.
