PSDB/Citizenship Federation launches Plínio Valério as candidate for the Senate of Amazonas

"I don't want to go to Brasília to defend myself from fake news and attacks, I don't want to go to Brasília to defend myself from anything. I want to stay in Brasília to continue defending Amazonas", said Plínio. The PSDB/Cidadania federation announced that it will not support any candidate for the Government of Amazonas in the first round. Convention calendar Conventions are events in which party members meet to choose candidates in elections. The deadline is August 5th. Next, the names must be registered with the Superior Court (TSE) by August 15th. The election campaign officially begins the following day. In this year's elections, on October 4th, Brazilians will vote for: president; governor; Senate (two seats per state); federal deputy; state deputy; Plínio Valério's career Plinio Valério was born on January 31, 1955, is a journalist and radio broadcaster, graduated from the Federal University of Amazonas (Ufam). He was born in Eirunepé, Amazonas, and entered public life when he took up a position as councilor in 2001, a term he held until 2004. He ran for the position of Senator for Amazonas in 2002 and 2006, failing to be elected. He served as councilor twice, when he was elected in 2012 and 2016. In 2013, as a substitute, he held the position of federal deputy for Amazonas for eight months. In the 2018 elections, he was elected senator for Amazonas, in the 1st vacancy, with 834,809 votes, and remains in office. He is currently vice-president of the Senate's Economic Affairs Committee (CAE).
