The phenomenon occurs amid Civil Defense alerts related to storms. The orange alert, for danger, is concentrated in the South, in the Serra and in part of the West of the state. The yellow warning, of potential danger, covers larger areas of these regions, in addition to Greater Florianópolis (see images below). Both warnings came into effect at 9am on Monday (27) and will run until 11:59pm on Tuesday. ?
