Theaters in the Amazon are recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites The Theatro da Paz, in Belém, now recognized as a world cultural heritage site by UNESCO, is open to the public with guided tours scheduled throughout the week. The recognition was approved last Monday (27), during a meeting of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, held in South Korea. The space in Pará was included on the list alongside the Teatro Amazonas, in Manaus. ? Opening hours Tuesday to Friday: from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 5pm. Saturdays and Sundays: from 9am to 12pm. Visits take place every hour. For groups of more than six people, prior booking is required by email to visit@theatrodapaz.com. On Wednesdays, spontaneous guided tours are free. R$5 (half). To guarantee entry, the recommendation is to arrive 15 minutes in advance. Each visit has a limit of 40 people.
