According to Luiza, Caramelo underwent surgery and needed a suture on his tongue because of intense bleeding. The dog also underwent a tracheostomy. The veterinarian states that the bullet entered the mouth and exited the right side of the animal's chest. The situation caused astonishment among the clinic's professionals, who had never come across a service like Caramelo's before. "We were in shock, to be very honest.
