Taubaté City Hall, through the Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy, has registrations open for the 20th Theater Exhibition. Registration began this Friday (17th) and runs until August 2nd. The Theater Exhibition is scheduled to be held between the 17th and 26th of September at Teatro Metrópole. 12 theatrical shows will be selected, from individuals or legal entities. To register, you must be a resident, domiciled or based in Taubaté. Registration can be made via the 1Doc protocol, through the option "Mostra de Teatro 2026". The format of the Exhibition was defined after a meeting with the municipality's artistic class, held at the beginning of July, at the Toninho Mendes Cultural Center. *The 12 theatrical shows will be considered as follows:* * 8 works developed by consolidated theater groups, which demonstrate performance in the area in the last 2 years. Among the 8, 2 places will be reserved for children's plays and 2 "street theater" plays, all 8 of which will receive a fee of R$4,754.00 each * 4 works developed by groups in training (beginning theater groups) that have not yet proven 2 years of experience in the area. Of these, 1 space will be reserved for children's plays and 1 space for "street theater". In this modality the fee is R$2,991.00.
