Accessible tour presents Rio Branco to people with physical disabilities A group of people with physical disabilities got to know, this Sunday (12), the physical structure and the history behind some of the main historical points in the Center of Rio Branco during the 1st Accessible Tour, 'Acreane-se: Tour das Praças'. The tour brought together members of the Support Center for People with Physical Disabilities of Acre (Capedac), as well as family members and residents on a guided tour of squares, monuments and historic buildings. ? There, participants learned about the history of the capital's City Hall building, which once served as a prison, as well as interesting facts about Emperor Galvez, monuments and works of art spread across the square. During the journey, the group also passed by the building where the Colégio Estadual Barão do Rio Branco (CEBRB) operates, the Adonay Barbosa State Public Library and old commercial establishments in the city center. The tour ended in front of Palácio Rio Branco, where information was presented about the construction of the building and events linked to the history of Acre. According to tour guide Ana Cunha, the experience also allowed reflection on how to make tourism more accessible to different audiences. "It is important to understand that the city belongs to all people, whether with or without disabilities. Having this experience has brought us new perspectives on what is still missing in the structure of our city, but mainly it has given us the opportunity to improve our services and guidance with a more inclusive and accessible look at the diversity of human conditions, whether visitors or residents who need our guidance", he reported.
