A 19-year-old suspect ended up being shot during a robbery, this morning, at a residence in the Residencial Alvorada neighborhood. According to the Military Police, he was rescued and taken to the Albert Sabin Regional Hospital, where he remains under observation.

The property owner reported, through the police report, that two criminals broke down the door of the residence and entered armed, while family members were also in the house. Still according to the version presented by the resident, when a gun was pointed in his direction, he reacted by firing shots to repel the aggression and protect his relatives.
While one of the suspects was struck and incapacitated, the other managed to flee the scene on foot. The dynamics were recorded by security cameras and, upon the arrival of the police, a 38-caliber revolver used by the accused was seized. It was also verified that the ammunition showed signs of percussion, but were not fired due to failures.
The Civil Police will investigate the case, as well as the actions and whereabouts of the second person involved, who remains at large.
