Fernanda has been working in theater since she was fifteen and began performing as a stand up comedian in 2018, according to information published on her official website.
Among the most frequent themes in his shows are issues such as machismo, career changes, marital life and the transformations that arise when leaving his parents' house.
The comedian currently lives in Germany. On his social networks, he produces weekly humorous content about the life of Brazilian immigrants and has more than 1 million followers on Instagram and Tiktok.
After moving to Europe, Fernanda started to incorporate this experience into her texts and videos. Much of its content revolves around the situations experienced by Brazilians trying to adapt to a new country.
On Friday, the 10th, Fernanda was the target of an attack during a show in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, on the stage of the Floripa Comedy Club.
A woman in the audience interrupted the show, started swearing at the comedian and, finally, threw a chair at her. The moment was recorded in a video published by the comedian on social media and YouTube.
Fernanda moves away and blocks the thrown chair with her hands. After the incident, the comedian asks the team to call the police and then resumes the show.
Go back to your place
In March, also through videos on social media, Fernanda reported that she was mistreated by an employee of the airline Lufthansa while trying to resolve the payment for extra luggage before boarding her flight to Brazil.
At the time, she said that she sought assistance at the company's counter after being unable to complete the purchase of the additional suitcase online. During the conversation, she tried to communicate in German, but asked to continue in English when she had difficulty with the language.
"I asked if I could speak in English and she said no. She said: No, you've been speaking in German until now, you'll continue speaking in German. Then I said: I can't. I wasn't able to express myself", continued the Brazilian.
To Estadão, she reported that the prejudiced speeches began after the Lufthansa employee took her passport. Upon seeing that the document was from Brazil, the attendant started to tell Fernanda that she would no longer serve her and that she should collect her belongings and "go back to her seat".
"She started screaming: take your things and go back to your place," said the Brazilian, crying. "In English, it was very clear what she meant."
At the time, Lufthansa only said that it had contacted the artist directly to discuss the case.
