The Superior Court of Justice (STJ) decided to deny the habeas corpus filed by the defense of digital influencer Deolane Bezerra. The decision was made this Wednesday (1st) by minister Ribeiro Dantas. The order is under judicial secrecy and has not been disclosed.

Deolane was arrested on May 21st in a joint operation by the São Paulo Public Ministry and the Civil Police. She was the target of Operation Vérnix and is accused of carrying out acts of money laundering for the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) faction.

According to the investigation, Deolane made significant financial transactions and had connections with the top brass of the criminal organization.

At the end of last month, influencer and prisoner Marco Willians Herbas Camacho, Marcola, one of the leaders of the PCC, became defendants for the crimes of criminal organization and money laundering. Marcola is imprisoned in the Federal Penitentiary of Brasília.
