Freak out and cry: new revelations about Liam Payne's last hours
New documents released by the Daily Mail brought details of the last hours of Liam Payne's life at the CasaSur Palermo hotel, in Buenos Aires. The reports come from Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea, two women who were...
According to the statements, Payne invited them to his room after contacting them through an escort website. The two stated that they spent around two hours with the former One Direction member and that the atmosphere changed when they charged the agreed US$5,000 for the meeting. As he had no cash and the bank transfer was unsuccessful, the singer would have lost control.
Witnesses reported that Liam offered a gold Rolex watch as payment, but when he refused, he threw the accessory against the wall and destroyed it.
"We said we just wanted money. Then he took the watch and broke it. He said he didn't care about money," said one of the women in the statement. She also said that the singer repeatedly hit the television in his room and made it clear that he could destroy everything because he was able to pay for the damages.
After the angry outburst, Payne would have completely changed his behavior. The women said he fell to his knees, cried and begged them to stay in the room.
“He said that money didn’t make him happy,” they reported. According to them, the singer also sang songs from his own repertoire, talked about his son Bear and asked for cocaine, but was informed that they did not have access to the drug.
The two decided to leave the hotel after the argument. Shortly afterwards, they returned to the room only to look for a forgotten bag. At that point, they claim that Liam apologized for his behavior.
“He apologized for putting us through that,” recalled one of the witnesses. They left the hotel shortly before 4pm.
About an hour later, at 5:07 pm on October 16, 2024, Liam Payne fell from the balcony of his room located on the third floor of CasaSur Palermo and died at the age of 31. Toxicological tests showed the presence of cocaine, alcohol and the sedative Klonopin in his system.
The investigation into the death remains ongoing in Argentina. Roger Nores, a friend of the singer and emergency contact indicated by him during his stay, was acquitted of charges related to the case by the Argentine courts.
