Man kills elderly man after being run over, runs away and causes new accident with 2 dead in GO

Suspect ran over an elderly man who was crossing the street on Avenida Contorno and fled the scene without providing assistance. The victim, identified as Henrique José Primo, 72, died at the scene. The case took place in the Divino Espírito Santo sector of the city, which is 420 km from Goiânia.

Less than a kilometer after the first accident, the driver crashed into another car, which was carrying a father and son. These victims were identified as Claudiney de Oliveira Rodrigues, 39, and Breno Kauã Rodrigues, 13. They also died at the scene.

The driver was arrested in the act and only had minor injuries to his face, according to the Fire Department. UOL contacted the Military Police to find out if the man passed a breathalyzer test and is awaiting feedback on the matter.

Father and son will be buried this afternoon in the city of Mineiros. UOL has not yet had access to information about the wake of the second victim. Civil Police are investigating the case. In a note sent to UOL, the organization informed that it "requested the necessary expertise".
