Woman arrested on suspicion of asking Pix to return 8-year-old son to SP

The woman left with her son on Tuesday (28) and did not return with the child. During the period in which she remained with the boy, she allegedly asked the family for money to return him, the Civil Police reported.

The grandfather said that the mother said she would take the boy to get a haircut. Hours later, family members received information that she was asking for payment via Pix to deliver the child.

The boy is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Custody of the child belongs to the grandfather.

The mother was located in the central region of Limeira. She was in a car with another woman, and portions of cocaine were seized, the Civil Police confirmed.

The child was found in a residence. The boy was under the care of a third person and was taken to those responsible.

The woman was arrested red-handed for kidnapping an incapacitated person. The incident was registered at the Limeira Sectional Police Station, and it remained at the disposal of the Court.

The name of the person under investigation was not disclosed. UOL contacted the São Paulo Court of Justice and the Public Defender's Office to find out the result of the custody hearing and obtain a defense position. The text will be updated in case of any response.
