Passengers despair after aircraft 'landed' in river in the USA

There were 8 people on board the aircraft and all of them were rescued alive, with only two suffering minor injuries.

After ditching, the pilots ordered the passengers to remain calm and with their life jackets on.

The plane had left Long Island but its destination was unknown. However, a family member of the passengers revealed that the family had been at a birthday party and was returning home when the accident happened.

On the aircraft was an elderly woman who had suffered minor injuries and is still not well, either due to the injuries suffered or the fright she suffered.

The New York Fire Department reported that the plane made a forced landing in the river. However, it is a seaplane, so the aircraft is capable of taking off and landing on the surface of the water.

The flight was operated by Acadian Seaplanes through Blade Air, which attributed the rough landing to rough waters caused by Saturday night's storm and passing boats, reports the Daily Mail.
