At around 6:20 am (Brasília time), the pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 0.19%, to 651.54 points.
In London, easyJet soared 10.5%, after the low-cost British airline accepted, in principle, a new takeover offer from American manager Castlelake, in a deal that could reach 5.5 billion pounds.
Still in the English market, ITV rose 1.8% after agreeing to sell its media and entertainment arm to Sky for up to 1.6 billion pounds.
By sectors, the European defense and aerospace sub-index rose 1%, as Russia's more than four-year war against Ukraine shows no sign of abating.
In the macroeconomic field, retail sales in the euro zone grew 0.2% in May compared to April, in line with expectations. In the same month, the bloc's PPI rose 0.2%, slowing down compared to the 0.7% increase in April. In Germany, industrial orders rose unexpectedly by 1.9% in May.
At 6:37 am (Brasília time), the London Stock Exchange rose 0.03%, the Paris Stock Exchange increased 0.27% and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange also gained 0.27%. Milan registered an increase of 0.14%, while Madrid and Lisbon fell 0.68% and 0.79%, respectively.
