Ariana Grande takes legal action against hackers who leaked songs

According to the lawsuit, the suspects targeted people close to the singer, including photographers, music producers and other collaborators with access to unreleased materials. The illegally obtained files would include songs in development, recordings of studio sessions, preliminary versions of tracks, music video content and private images.

The lawsuit describes a series of attacks over several years. In 2019, access credentials for a Dropbox account belonging to a photographer who worked with Grande were reportedly stolen. The following year, the cell phone of one of the singer's producers was hacked, leading to the leak of unreleased masters, demos and records of recording sessions.

The process also states that, in 2023 alone, 45 of the artist's unreleased songs were made available on the internet before their official releases. Among the leaked tracks mentioned are "Fantasize", "That Bitch Is Mine" and "White Tee".

The most recent case reportedly occurred in 2024, when criminals carried out a phishing campaign against a technician linked to another photographer who worked with Grande. According to the singer, the attackers created a false email address and domain to impersonate the professional and gain access to the materials. Using information obtained from providers and platforms, Ariana Grande's legal team intends to identify those responsible for the attacks.
