The two talk quickly and then the woman walks away. Then the man approached one of the vases. First, he moved one of the plants. Then, he observed a second seedling and, finally, chose a third. He pulled the plant out of the ground and left the place. "It looks like he chose the most beautiful seedling. It doesn't make sense," said Sarah Pierotti, manager of the confectionery. Theft of plant from Divinópolis confectionery Monitoring cameras/Reproduction According to Sarah, this was not the first time that plants were stolen in front of the confectionery. In December 2025, shortly after her mother placed the vases in place, a car stopped in front of the establishment. A person got out of the vehicle, placed one of the entire vases in the trunk and fled. The action was also recorded by security cameras. Watch below. What caught the family's attention is that, in both cases, the suspects acted despite being filmed by security cameras. Furthermore, a sign at the entrance to the establishment informs that the place is monitored. "Not even that intimidates them anymore," Sarah said. The first theft of plants from a confectionery shop in Divinópolis occurred in December Plants will be kept Despite the thefts, the family stated that they intend to continue keeping plants in front of the confectionery shop. However, the owner of the establishment decided to buy cheaper seedlings to reduce losses if new thefts occur. "She wants to continue planting, but she will look for cheaper seedlings, so that the damage is not so great," said Sarah. The two thefts were not reported to the Military Police (PM). According to Sarah, the family decided not to report the cases because they considered the damage to be of small value. Even so, the security camera images were preserved and record both actions. The family hopes that releasing the video will help draw attention to the problem and serve as a warning to other traders. MORE
