Emergency teams were sent to the scene, but Bryn was already dead. The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office has not yet determined the cause of death. The circumstances of the case continue to be investigated.
The young woman had announced her engagement just over a month earlier. On June 15, he published photographs with his partner, showed the ring and wrote: “He promised”.

A week before she died, Bryn also shared an image while driving down a road. In the publication, he wrote the phrase: “It will only get better”.
Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, she lived in San Diego. Between 2018 and 2019, she played defender for the Central Washington University women's soccer team, during which she played 15 games.
Friends paid tribute and described Bryn as a person who was kind, caring and connected to nature.
“I only met Bryn a few times, but each time she was incredibly sweet, genuinely kind and had a beautiful spirit,” a friend told California Post.
According to Page Six, another person close to her claimed to have met the young woman a few days before her death and remembered the affection she showed for animals, the beach and her friends.
"She was kind and sweet. She listened and loved. She leaves behind friends and family who will be greatly missed," he said.
A third tribute highlighted Bryn's influence on the people who lived with her.
"It's clear that the light she radiated touched many lives. I'm grateful to have crossed her path, even if only briefly. May we pray for everyone who loved her, especially her fiancé, as they face this devastating loss," said a friend.
The former athlete's social networks show trips, meetings with friends and records taken in landscapes in Alaska and California. On July 10, she also posted images from a visit to the San Diego County Fair.
Until the publication of this article, the police, the medical examiner's office and Central Washington University had not released new information about the investigation.
