Pharaoh Dog Porto Velho City Hall The Pharaoh dog was rescued this week after spending more than a month waiting for his owner at the door of the João Paulo II Hospital and Emergency Room, in Porto Velho. The animal's owner died after suffering an accident, but the dog remained there and was fed by staff and patients. After raising awareness among employees, patients and visitors, who began to care for Pharaoh, a team from Porto Velho City Hall rescued the dog, which was taken to the Animal Welfare Clinic. At the unit, Pharaoh underwent clinical screening, a veterinary consultation and blood tests. According to the city hall, the animal must be neutered, receive an identification microchip and remain under the care of the team until it is ready for responsible adoption.
