Concessionaire applies 3 thousand tons of asphalt on more than 1,500 streets in Manaus Disclosure/Águas de Manaus In forty days, the Águas de Manaus asphalting joint effort recovered sections of more than 1,500 streets in approximately 60 neighborhoods in the capital of Amazonas. The task force reinforces the concessionaire's commitment to rebuilding urban infrastructure after interventions in the sanitation networks. More than 3 thousand tons of asphalt have already been applied since work began on June 17th. The joint effort takes place on two fronts. The first is aimed at restoring the pavement in areas where the concessionaire carried out works to implement the sewage network. In these stretches, the teams have already carried out the asphalt restoration of more than 72,600 meters of roads, ensuring that the roads are returned to suitable conditions for the population. The second front serves locations that have undergone emergency maintenance on their water supply and sewage systems, allowing repairs to be completed with the recovery of the asphalt. In addition to reworking areas where the sewage service is expanding, the task force also works on the asphalt restoration of sections where emergency maintenance was carried out, such as repairing water leaks and unblocking the sewage network. The operation mobilizes more than 100 employees, who work daily to speed up pavement recovery in different areas of the city. "We rely on asphalt produced in our own plant, which guarantees more control over the material used and more agility in recompositions. Around 130 tons of asphalt leave our plant every day. We also emphasize that, if necessary, we will return to the site to redo the service.
