Civil police officer dies after being shot in Manaus Jucélio Paiva/Rede Amazônica Amazonas Civil Police (PC-AM) investigator Luciano Carvalho de Senas, aged 44, died after being shot this Friday (24), in the Alvorada neighborhood, Central-West Zone of Manaus. He was taken to the Alvorada Emergency Care Service (SPA) alive, but he did not survive his injuries. According to the PC, Luciano was assigned to the Narcotics Investigation Department (Denarc), where he had worked as an investigator since 2011. He was accompanying other civil police officers, when an exchange of gunfire occurred between the agents and the occupants of a vehicle on Álvaro Maia Street. Luciano was shot in the neck. The police did not say whether the agents were involved in any incident or whether the group was surprised by the shots. There is also no information about arrests. ? More information will be officially released as the incident progresses", informed the Civil Police. The body of the public security agent was sent to the Amazonas Legal Medical Institute (IML).
