The offer of the equipment was carried out in partnership with the Cooperative of Anesthesiologists of Sergipe (Coopanest/SE), the Society of Anesthesiology of the State of Sergipe (Saese) and the Salve Project, which has already trained more than 2,500 students from public and private schools in the state for initial assistance. Importance of immediate assistance The Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) is considered vital equipment for initial assistance in cases of cardiorespiratory arrest. When applied in the first minutes after the incident — associated with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers — the device significantly increases the chances of survival and reduces the risk of serious sequelae.
