18-year-old man dies after being shot in Gurupi An 18-year-old man was shot in the back upon returning home, after leaving work in Gurupi, in the south of the state. According to the Civil Police, the victim was taken to the Regional Hospital, but he did not survive his injuries and died in the unit. The crime was recorded on Wednesday night (22), in the Park dos Buritis neighborhood. The victim was identified as Weverson Borges Jales. At the unit, he was stabilized and told police officers that he had left work and was heading home when he was hit. According to the PM, Weverson said that, as he approached the corner of the street where he lives, he was approached by two men on a motorcycle, at which point one of them fired shots.
