Personal trainer is arrested on suspicion of raping clients in Salvador

The investigation began in November last year, following a complaint from an influencer who publicized the case on social media. Subsequently, at least eight other women also went to the police to report the personal.

Personal adopted the same method of action in all cases, say the police. According to the investigation, he asked women to wear only underwear, performed inappropriate touching and brought his own genitalia closer to the victims' bodies.

In addition to the arrest, the police also carried out a search warrant at the personal address. At the scene, a portion of hashish, a precision scale, two bottles containing anabolic steroids, a cell phone, electronic equipment and documents were found.

Personal is known in Salvador. On his Instagram profile, which was deleted after the allegations, he used to post videos with exercise tips.

The suspect will still undergo a custody hearing. UOL asked the Court of Justice of Bahia if it already has a date for the hearing and is awaiting feedback. The report was unable to locate the personal defense.

WHAT THE LAW SAYS

The crime of rape is provided for in article 213 of the Penal Code. The initial sentence varies from six to ten years in prison, up to 12 years in the case of bodily injury and 30 years in the case of death.

The legislation also provides for punishment for disclosing a rape scene, provided for in article 218-C of the Penal Code, with a penalty of one to five years in prison.

Rape victims can go to any hospital with gynecology and obstetrics services to receive preventive medication against sexually transmitted infections, psychological care and, in cases provided for by law, to legally terminate the pregnancy.

It is not necessary to file a police report to receive medical and psychological care in the public health system. However, the corpus delicti examination depends on the police record.

This examination can be carried out later, but it is recommended that it be carried out as close as possible to the moment of violence, to preserve evidence.
