SÃO PAULO, SP (UOL/FOLHAPRESS) - The same man who was caught kicking his own three-year-old daughter was charged by the Public Ministry of Paraná (MPPR) for torture and qualified bodily harm after making his children...
A man forced his children to remain kneeling over plastic bottle caps and popcorn kernels and beans. The agency also highlights that the action was intended to cause intense physical and mental suffering.
"In addition to causing "severe pain", the act "has a humiliating and intimidating character, increasing the psychological suffering of the victims, especially due to the young age of the children, who are in a phase of physical and emotional development, with a reduced ability to understand and resist this type of violence". The situation is aggravated by the fact that the acts were carried out by the father himself, a figure who should ensure protection and care for the children", said the Public Ministry of Paraná.
The crimes occurred between the months of June and July this year, at the family residence. The complaint was filed on Tuesday (21) by prosecutor Silvia Skaetta Donatti, from the 1st Public Prosecutor's Office of Francisco Beltrão.
The man also attacked his five-year-old son with a piece of wood. He hit the child in the face.
The incident of the man kicking his three-year-old daughter in the face was the third case reported. The images show the moment he turns around and kicks the girl in the head, and the child falls.
A video also shows a witness questioning the man shortly after the attack. It is not possible to know what was said, but the child gets up and the group continues walking.
The man had already been indicted for the crime against his daughter. He is responsible for torture and bodily harm in the context of domestic violence.
He remains detained in the 19th Police Subdivision of Francisco Beltrão. According to the police, family members and the children's mother had protective measures granted by the courts. The Public Prosecutor's Office also expressed its support for maintaining the defendant's preventive detention. As the individual was not identified, UOL was unable to seek a statement in its defense.
