The accident happened around 6:45 in the morning. They were in the Fiat Uno that was crushed on BR-163 by the truck, whose driver was unharmed. The Santa Catarina Civil Police opened an investigation to determine the circumstances of the tragedy.
Sabrina Cardoso Silveira studied pedagogy and worked as a teaching assistant at a daycare center in the city of Descanso, although she lived in São Miguel do Oeste, another city in the region. The city hall of Descanso declared an official three-day mourning period and published a note of condolence on social media expressing solidarity with family, friends, co-workers and the school community.
Indiamara was a gas station attendant in São José do Cedro and had a four-year-old daughter. She constantly posted images with the girl on social media.
