MATEUS MARTINEZSÃO PAULO, SP (FOLHAPRESS) - Actress Fernanda Montenegro used her social networks to denounce the misuse of her image, and also her voice, in a medicine advertisement. The medicine would be aimed at the...
The medicine would be aimed at the elderly and promised to cure diseases such as Alzheimer's. According to the actress, the ad also states that she would be a fan of the treatment proposed by the medicine. "I am used as an announcer and user. I only saw this invasion of myself when I used my cell phone," she said. "The invasive use of this dimension in the life of a human being is a crime," she said, and did not say whether she would take any action, other than a public complaint, after discovering the use of her image in the ad.
Fernanda Montenegro is not the only one to be used in this type of scam on the internet.
The doctor, writer and Folha columnist Drauzio Varella has also made this type of complaint, claiming that his voice and face were manipulated with artificial intelligence to sell 'miracle medicines' through social media.
Alzheimer's still does not have a definitive cure, there are only medications that can alleviate certain symptoms and slow its progression.
