Asked about the ceasefire, the President of the United States said he believed the agreement was “already over”, after Washington and Tehran exchanged new attacks following alleged offensives in the Strait of Hormuz.
"I don't want anything to do with them anymore. They're scum, they're sick people. They're led by sick people, and they're cruel, violent people. And if they had a nuclear weapon, they would use it," Trump declared.
The speech took place in Ankara, Turkey, before a NATO summit. On the eve of the meeting, the US president had also harshly criticized US allies.
