Testimonies recreate Liam Payne's last hours in an Argentine hotel

Aldana Serrano and Lucila Goitea said Liam Payne was upset when they charged US$5,000 for services. The two reported that the former One Direction member didn't have the money on hand and broke a gold Rolex watch valued at US$40,000, saying he could buy "ten other" watches.

They said the singer later knelt down, cried and stated that "money didn't make him happy." Afterwards, he sang his own songs and asked his companions for cocaine.

The escorts said Payne talked about his son Bear and asked them not to leave. They left the room, returned to get a bag and heard an apology from the singer, who became angry again after they left.

FALL OCCURRED IN OCTOBER 2024

Liam Payne died on October 16, 2024, after falling from the balcony of his room on the third floor of CasaSur Palermo. The fall occurred at around 5:07 pm local time, just over an hour after the companions left.

Toxicological tests found cocaine, alcohol and the sedative Klonopin in the singer's blood. Payne was 31 years old and had been in Buenos Aires for around 16 days, after traveling with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy.

The statements of the two women were given a few hours after the singer's death and under oath. Roger Nores, Payne's friend and emergency contact appointed by the artist, was cleared by Argentine justice of charges linked to the case.
