The joint operation between the Spanish police and tax authorities resulted in the closure of 11 prostitution houses.
Four people were arrested in Madrid, four in Valencia, three in Zaragoza, two in Barcelona, two in Tarragona and one in Figueres (Girona).
Among those detained is the head of the gang, who had his preventive detention ordered by court order, said the National Police and the Spanish Tax Authorities.
The organization recruited women through false job offers on social media and instant messaging applications.
Women were kept in slavery, in which they were forced to be available 24 hours a day and work as prostitutes without condoms.
