Brothers died just hours apart in Araraquara; case is investigated Social media Two brothers died just a few hours apart on Thursday (9), in Araraquara (SP), which caused great commotion among family, friends and residents of the region. Henrique da Cruz Simplício, 18 years old, was found dead in the early hours of the morning at his family's home. Hours later, his brother, Luiz Miguel da Cruz Silva, aged 15, fell ill, was rescued and taken to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in Vale Verde, but did not survive. According to the Municipal Health Department, the cause of Henrique's death is still under investigation. Luiz Miguel was admitted to the Vale Verde Emergency Care Unit (UPA) at around 4pm, in a very serious condition, with suspected pulmonary thromboembolism. In a statement, the municipal administration stated that the medical team carried out all the necessary procedures, but the young man arrived at the unit in critical condition and did not survive. The two cases were sent for analysis, and the circumstances will be investigated by the Death Verification Service (SVO) of Américo Brasiliense (SP). ?Pulmonary embolism happens when a blood clot, called a thrombus, blocks an artery in the lung. In most cases, this clot forms in the veins of the legs, breaks off and travels through the bloodstream until it reaches the lung. With the vessel blocked, the lung has difficulty oxygenating the blood, which can cause shortness of breath and other symptoms. g1 contacted the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), but did not hear back until the last update of this report.
