According to information from the Maranhão Fire Department and Civil Police, the suspicion is that one of the women driving the car tried to overtake, lost control of the steering wheel and fell into a lake on the banks of the highway, close to the municipality of Grajaú (MA). The Maranhão Civil Police confirmed that Núbia Alves Brito was driving the vehicle during the accident. What could have caused the deaths? According to information provided by the regional Civil Police delegate who serves the city of Grajaú (MA), Brito Júnior, the car had submerged in the lake and signs indicate that the cause of death was drowning.
