Shia LaBeouf reveals his father was kicked off sets for harassing actresses

(FOLHAPRESS) - Shia LaBeouf stated, during a fan convention in Tennessee (USA), that his father, Jeffrey Craig LaBeouf, was kicked out of several film sets for making actresses uncomfortable and irritated by constantly hitting on them.

The actor said that, during the filming of "Charlie's Angels: Wreck It", released in 2003, his father disrupted his relationship with the film's protagonists, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu, due to his unwanted advances. At the time, Shia was a minor.

"My dad had just gotten out of prison, so we were on this set, and there were all these pretty girls walking around. Bad idea," Shia told the audience at Fanboy Expo 2026 on Saturday the 11th. "My dad was singing all three of these women all the time," he continued.

According to the "Transformers" actor, Lucy Liu "couldn't stand" Jeffrey and, as he was always accompanying his son, she avoided him outright.

The situation happened again on the set of "The Mystery of the Diggers", also from 2003, when, allegedly, Jeffrey was slapped by Sigourney Weaver after having sung the actress.

The court convicted Jeffrey of attempted rape in 1981 and served his sentence until 1983, according to the British newspaper The Sun. In an interview with the tabloid in 2019, he stated that he did not remember what happened, as he was "completely drunk."

Jeffrey now reportedly lives in New Orleans, where Shia moved after splitting from Mia Goth last year, according to People magazine.
