Palmeiras sent the proposal and awaits a definition from Botafogo. The Rio club refused a first offer of R$120 million, plus defender Naves. The initial information was published by ESPN and confirmed by UOL.
When contacted by the report, Botafogo once again denied that it had received a proposal.
Danilo would become the most expensive signing in Palmeiras' history. Surpassing the signings of Vitor Roque and Jhon Arias, who cost 25.5 and 25 million euros, respectively.
The technical committee and management from Palmeiras understand that Danilo is the only piece missing to complete the squad. The idea is not to negotiate anyone and still be able to sign the Botafogo midfielder.
The Rio club is determined to play Danilo in the match this Thursday (23), at 7:30 pm, against Vitória, in the Brasileirão. This way, the midfielder would complete 13 games and would not be able to defend another team in the competition.
