It is necessary to observe the value in each account -referring to each company- and add up how much there is in total. The percentage of 1.87% applies to this value. The worker must look at the total balance in December. There are two payments per month, the 8% deposited by the employer and the correction of the amounts deposited. Below these amounts the total balance will appear. The value to be considered is the highest. In some cases, the highest total balance is on 12/19.

In 2025, the FGTS had the highest revenue in history, R$212 billion. With worker turnover, however, there was an 18% increase in the number of withdrawals compared to 2024.
